Invigorated by her deep passion for food and wine, Carla's study of wine began with twenty years of restaurant experience across the United States. She moved to Australia to study at Le Cordon Bleu for a year earning both culinary and sommeliers certificates. She then moved on to Bordeaux and then Rhone to apprentice with the world's best wine makers. Upon her return to her home state of New Hampshire, Carla began working with a local wine importer and distributor, sharing her skill and passion even further and extending her knowledge of wine. Today, she continues her studies via courses like the Bordeaux educators certification and continues to be an involved member in the Society of Wine Educators as a Certified Specialist of Wine. Carla has also taught the wines class at Southern New Hampshire University, consulted for restaurants to include The Dunaway Restaurant, Jumpin' Jay's Fish Café, Radicci, The Blue Mermaid, Robert's Maine Grill, Emilitsa Greek Restaurant in Portland and The Hilton Garden Inn, just to name a few, on their wine lists and/or staff trainings, and she continues to be the wine consultant for the wine department at The Durham Marketplace in Durham New Hampshire where she keeps a wine selection of over 700 wines rotating with interesting and delicious wines.

Using skills developed working and studying in such places as the exclusive Pebble Beach Resort, the delightful Monterey Hilton, the swank W Hotel in San Francisco, Le Cordon Bleu and Tafe University, Carla will plan the perfect wine tasting extravaganza. She will help you select the most appropriate wines to offer with your menu and will teach the fine art of selecting the right bottle of wine to serve with any meal.
